Ange Hardy — Esteesee: Reviews

1 5

My new favourite folk singer

12.05.2025 by Tom Howard (See all user reviews)

The variety of songs on this album are similar to her album, Findings, which is a good thing. A very good thing. Some of these fantastic songs are very familiar to old sea shanties and very easy on the ears while making your feet tap to the rhythms. Her voice is so distinctive and her style is unique while she achieves a feel of ancient times which is magical. There’s no other way to describe it.
Each song is beautifully written and performed perfectly by Ange Hardy and a variety of guests performing throughout the album.
I would put her at the top of my list of favourite folk singers with another unique favourite of mine, Kate Rusby.
The production on this album is also exceedingly well polished and impressive from the first to the final song.
I can’t get enough of this artist.
Recommended for your folk collection.
