Not his best but still very very good
The fact that this is an album of other people’s songs rather than Bowie originals still does not stop this from being one of my favourite Bowie albums! The arrangements for each track are absolutely stomping fantastic and quintessential Bowie. It’s hard to name a favourite but, in my opinion, the stand out tracks for me are probably: "Here Comes The Night", "See Emily Play", "Friday on my Mind", "Sorrow", closely followed by "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere", "Shapes of Things"…
Some albums are getting hard to find these days... So many thanks to songswave for bringing out the old favourites...
This album is high-energy car-pop from start to finish. Still sounds great in 2016 and a better album to play while driving is hard to imagine!!.....Cool album cover too.
R.I.P. David. Your legacy lives on.
