Quiet Riot — Metal Health: Reviews
The Original Classic!
In 1983, in a top 40 radio environment consisting mainly of New Wave, Disco and Adult Contemporary offerings, Quiet Riot blew the doors open for Heavy Metal and the arena rock that the '80s are famous for.
The success of the videos for 'Metal Health's title track and "Cum On Feel the Noise" on the newly formed MTV, along with the simultaneous airplay of the tracks by radio DJs in key markets, helped cause a tidal wave of support for the band and the album, the effect of which would help 'Metal Health' blow past Billy Joel's 'An Innocent Man', Lionel Richie's 'Can't Slow Down', The Police's 'Synchronicity' AND Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' as it victoriously claimed the No. 1 position on the Billboard Top 200 chart on November 26, 1983.
Whether you love them or hate them, there is no question that Quiet Riot was influential in changing the music industry's mind about Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, a decision that eventually helped give rise to some of the most famous and celebrated '80s bands and the still loved hits that made them legends.
Quiet Riot
This is the great album from this band. This is was the masterpiece for their legacy
