Electrifying!
Electric Guest are a Los Angeles-based band consisting of Asa Taccone, Matthew Compton, and the brothers Todd and Tory Dahlhoff. I stumbled onto this by accident here on songswave and I'm so thankful that I did. It's a fantastic album. Taccome's voice is incredibly versatile lending itself to the soul-stylings and rockier tracks equally well. Electric Guest truly are a force in their own right. So..... there is soul, funk, synth, dub and even a bit of reggae all thrown into this eclectic melting pot. But it's execution is simply fantastic meaning that I haven't been able to stop listening to it since I bought it. (Listening to it now as I write for the zillionth time!) :)
Highly recommended for a refreshingly different listen.
Buy it. You'll be glad you did.
