Best of French Canada

I think that this is some of the best music to come out of French Canada in 2015.
Rosie Valland's Partir Avant has been a big surprise to me since I'd only heard snippets of her songs before taking this album.
She builds flowing rhythms that propel her sad but sultry voice through a variety of song themes.
This work seems to confirm her exceptional writing talent blended with her distinctive guitar style to create one of the best female vocalist albums in my collection.
Mastered fairly well though it seemed to burn a little 'hot' in recording level which really doesn't detract any from the up-front power of these songs.
A great place to start with this artist.
