Excellent Session
Two of the best Johnny Smith sessions (originally on Roost Records from the early 1960's) on disc are this effort and 'Softly'. This session from 1960 shows Smith in an inventive mood and has one of his better song selections for a single LP. "Let's Fall in Love", "Over the Rainbow" and "I Got It Band (and That Ani't Good)" round out the standards here along with some lesser known songs. Overall this is one of Smith's best Roost sessions.
