Masterclass in reinvention
Beck always surprises. Not only with each album release, also with each track on each album. You really can't predict the direction he's going to take you on. And for that I sincerely thank him from the bottom of my heart. I wish more artists showed a general love of all styles of music like Beck does time after time. This is unashamed pop with clear nods towards Talking Heads. The songs are strong and the production values are high. Favourites for me (so far) are "Colours", "I'm So Free", "Dreams (Colours Mix)", "Wow", "Up All Night" & "Fix Me"
Not what you'd expect from a 47 year old indie rocker but why the hell not? :)
Highly recommended.
