Una delle due cantanti dei Fleetwood Mac
Chi, come me da diversi decenni, ama i Fleetwwod Mac, non potrà non apprezzare questo album "solo" di Christine McVie, una delle due cantanti storiche dei Fleetwood. Certo, la maggioranza sarà abituata alla voce particolare di Stevie Nicks, che appare più spesso nei successi di questo gruppo. Ma Christine Mc Vie è un discorso a parte. La sua timbrica particolare, a tratti vagamente mascolina, e più spesso dolce, ha avuto il posto che meritava in pezzi come "Oh! Diane" (dall'album "Mirage", 1982), "Over and Over" (da "Tusk", 1979) e molti altri, del periodo d'oro dei Fleetwood. In questo album solo, "In THe Meantime", ci sono perle imprescindibili, che mettono in risalto la sua grande duttibilità nel cantare anche generi diversi, dal country-rock al pop, dal rock vero al quasi blues. Consiglio caldamente questo album, e per convincersene, direi di andare ad ascoltare da subito canzoni come "Forgiveness", "Givin It Back", "You Are", che mettono in risalto le fantastiche timbriche vocali di Christine. Imperdibile!
