THE DAUGHTER OF A THRILL!!!
She's the daughter of an icon. As a child she travelled the world with the high priestess of soul from Liberia to Switzerland to France. She returned to the United States to join the Air Force before performing on Broadway. She then paid tribute to her mother, Nina, through singing her songs. Now she's singing to her own tune on her new album "All is Well".
Here she presents five of her own compositions, plus other songs including the standard 'Autumn Leaves', 'Suzanne' by Leonard Cohen, and her mother's 'Ain't Got No...I Got Life' - immaculately backed by guitarist and arranger Hervé Samb, who also co-composed several of the tracks; plus Reggie Washington, on bass guitar & double-bass, and Sonny Troupé, drums and percussion.
Lisa fell in love with France, as her mother did, and in 2013, she settled in Provence with her husband and daughter, into the house where Nina spent the end of her life.....re-opening shutters that had been closed too long.
