Before Double Trouble
An album for SRV collectors and serious fans, these tracks were recorded at three different locations in 1978 and 1979 at Jack Clement's Studio in Nashville, the Austin Blues Festival, and at Piona's. The band is not Double Trouble, and Lou Ann Barton sings lead on a number of the tracks. There are early versions of Pride and Joy and Love Struck Baby that are very close to the later released versions, and overall, the recording quality is first class. If you are an SRV collector, you need this. Otherwise it's just a historical footnote to Stevie's career.
