Great Band
Hauntingly beautiful follow-up to "The Ash & Clay". Another selection of memorable songs performed in a minimalist & stripped-back format. Simply wonderful stuff. Kenneth & Joey have created a unique identity whilst drawing on a variety of influences. (The Carter Family, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings). However, when you listen to the Milk Carton Kids it's obvious it's them. They do have their own sound and their own style. Stand out tunes for me are "Asheville Skies", "Freedom", "Deadly Bells" and "Sing, Sparrow, Sing". If you love acoustic music with beautiful harmonies then this is for you. Highly recommended album - buy it
