Chris Difford, Difford & Tilbrook — Difford & Tilbrook: Reviews
Squeeze Light...
Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook are (were) the power of Squeeze both as singers and songwriters. Touted by the press as the new Lennon/McCartney, they composed and performed as Squeeze with some great supporting players. Squeeze made terrific music, and while they never became the Beatles, they created some memorable music. This disc is a bit stripped down compared to Squeeze productions, but Difford and Tilbrook present some great songs here. If fact some of them (Actions Speak Louder Than Words and Hope Fell Down are as good as anything else they've ever written. This is a great addition to the Squeeze library.
