Two hour Concert
Normally I avoid live albums since to me crowd noise is obnoxious and never adds anything good to the music.
On the up side,
a live album can bring you slightly different versions of old favorites,
extended riffs, highlighted instrumental solos and the coherency of the concert recorded from beginning to end without gaps.
Electric Rendz-Vous brings you all of these benefits and it's fairly well recorded and edited too with a bare minimum of audience interruption.
There's new stuff here and some old favorites done a bit better and,
since there are no Personne albums I haven't loved,
I think it's well worth the effort to add this double CD to any collection.
The mastering is good, without squeezing the soundstage too much or over-miking any one musician and it burns to an acceptable CD at the highest bitrate.
Play it loud like it would be had you been there.
