Recorded in Dallas TX in 1968, this CD took 30 years to finally hit the streets. While a couple of the performances showed up during the years on various comps, this is the (mostly) complete concert from August of that year. It's the great band that includes the funky drummer, Clyde Stubblefeld and guitarist Jimmy Nolen, trombonist Fred Wesley, and saxmen Maceo Parker, St. Clair Pinckney, and Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis. This group was the best band that Brown ever assembled, and this recording shows their prowess. Along with the Paris 1971 recording of the second greatest band Brown ever assembled, this recording is pure JB history as it's best.
