Jain — Zanaka: Reviews
Fresh & interesting
I had never heard of Jain until she appeared on Later with Jools... and I was captivated by her unusual rhythms mixed with her african tilt. It was fresh & interesting. And that is the best way to describe her first album. My interest in world music has never been more rewarded than today. I would urge music fans all over to go exploring and turn off the setlist from their local radio stations. There's a lot of talent out there that deserves a listen. Jain is certainly among them. Favourites for me in this quirky collection are "Come", "Heads Up", "Mr Johnson", "Hob" & "Makeba"
I'm enthusiastic about her future in music & look forward to following her career.
Highly recommended.
