Catfish And The Bottlemen — The Ride: Reviews
"The Balcony" (part II)
If it's not broken then why fix it? You shouldn't and they haven't. This is such a familiar vibe, sound and tone to their first album that it could almost be 'Disc 2' of the same album. For fans of the first one (which I am one) then it's a good thing. When bands change just for the sake of it you have to hope they know what they're doing otherwise a sea of fans can get lost in the tides. CATB are building on what they already have and want their fans to keep being swept by the waves of adulation. No surprises but a lot of good guitar driven anthems in readiness for their headlining stadium tours. Best songs are "7", "Twice", "Anything" and "Red"
Good second album and recommended for all 'Kooks'/'Kasabian' fans.
