Surprisingly good
'Catfish And The Bottlemen' win the award for best band name since 'Echo And The Bunnymen'. Albeit very similar. As for the album it's full of good songs with an obvious ambition towards the 'stadium anthems' end of the market. And why not? The similarities with a melting pot of numerous other bands around right now is obvious but hopefully they can evolve into a stronger distinctive sound over time. Best songs for me are "Homesick", "Kathleen", "Cocoon" and "Pacifier" which shines out bright thanks to the fantastic guitar playing of Billy Bibby.
If you like bands like 'The Kooks" then you'll love this.
